hi there, Foxy here,thanks for taking me onboard, riding a suzuki bandit 600 at the moment, but havent been useing it much these days, (it,s to heavy, to revvy, and i,m 60 years young, so i thought i would get me a scooter, (lighter,easy to handle, low center of gravity etc, etc, ) so thought i would join your site to get some info first hand, i,ve read all the reviews and all say very good for the kawasaki j300, but would appreciate some info on what some of you boys think of it, cheers, Foxy

loving my j300.. always in the rev band like a grown up 125cc being lighter than the 400/600cc scoots they tend to be more fun, well my opinion, also tyres/pads etc are not as dear when needed.. a to b 10 mile jaunts i was getting 76 mpg and on the 220 mile jaunt yesterday got 91 mpg it depends on how tall you are above 5 foot 10 tall then it might be a tad tight, like most folk are different in car choice, its the same with scoots, i like aggressive styled scoots, more info needed from you the standard model new is 4000 the abs model is 4500 yet if you dont mind either scoot with a 1000 miles on it the last two on ebay gone for 3400 and 3500 so really best to have a ride on one at local kawasaki dealer. serviceing is 600 mile then every 3000.. if buying new first 600 service £86 and around £180 to £220 for the 3000 ( mine should be £140 as dont need as much changing) yet then do yourself as with me my 2 years warranty will be up when my 6000 mile service due. ask away chap any questions

Hello and welcome aboard . If the weight is a key issue then 500cc or less as all the big boys weigh more than your bandit , having said that once on the move a t max is more agile . i would strongly suggest trying a few out first .

Is the scoot only for pleasure, do you ever/often ride 2-up, how tall are you (inside leg?) - always personal taste so best to try before you buy, but these questions will help with a recommendation, though general tendency is to recommend what they ride, as for them it's clearly ideal!

J300 (+ ABS) is cracking scoot, but some (me) don't like the slightly cramped space, hence query about height & inside leg.
