Which top box?

Hi!

I have just purchased a 2006 AN400 Burgman (K7??) and would like to know which top box you guys would recommend.

I would like it to be lockable as well as detachable. i hear some boxes can be detached and used as luggage when touring etc. I am not too concerned about price as i would prefer to pay more and get a quality / sturdy / good looking product.

What do you all use?

Givi E52 or E55.

you might have to register at givi to see the above,, but the givi racks are monolock or monokey then you buy a givi top box case whichever ltr size you want but the case you buy will have to be monolock or monokey to fit your rack , use the above link to find your rack then search ebay ... dealer etc for best price on that rack.. the rack will come with the mounting kit etc :D

The two Givis I've mentioned are Monokey boxes - there are no boxes as big as these in the Monolock range.

The OP makes no mention of having a rack already on the bike so one assumes he hasn't got one.

Thanks for your help so far.
Waldorf is correct, i currently do not have any rack on the bike, so i assume this will also be something that i need to purchase.

I want the box to double as a pillion back rest too, but from what i see, that is just a case of buying a bolt on pad for the box(?)

I have a 40ltr silver top box, base plate with brackets for gp 800. it has a back pad for pillion. It's surplus to requirements. care to make me an offer. PM mobile number and I can send pics.
Ginge.

I don't know where you're located but I've bought nearly all my Givi stuff from here:

Prices are generally quite competitive.

I was going to ask: is the 55 better than the 52 (discounting the fact it's a bit bigger) for anything other than æsthetics?
