Kawasaki J300 First Veho Muvi Trial Video

Post by michaelphillips »

Kawasaki J300 First Veho Muvi Trail Video (bit boring but first trial) the veho was in sleep mode so had to get the missus to check i had awoke it  before starting to record :D
Me and missus (2 up ) short video never went over 6000 rpm and 55 mph at 5300 rpm uphill on bypass. Muvi camera was in its waterproof housing, so the sound aint there really :D just to try it out. will try do some different ones, yet this is my helmet cam for use on all journeys, thanks :D

Did that Audi nearly take you out?

I must confess I stopped watching after 3 minutes. I think I need some travel sickness pills!

no , its because the camera is in the central front of the helmet, i turn my head full round , yet the camera only moves1/2 the way if you get me drift, and the camera angle is narrow, so looks different :D

hi gromet i bought a Veho VCC-003 Muvi micro DV Camcorder for £27 delivered new and a waterproof housing for £12 i retrofitted a mount to front of helmet, just trying to get a feel for best place, think its too far forward as the degree of width spread is not as wide as i had hoped, need to work on this, its only 640x480 but clear resolution although muted in the waterproof housing, i have a gopro body chest mount that i am trying to adapt also as there plates are different... so need to think more on position.. and looking into different mount ideas :D

If I had known that you wanted one of those I could have sent you one to play with, that's what I originally started filming with. I have tried a lot of different mounts myself but have found that the chest mount suits my preferred style of filming best. If you find that you really get into it, the SJ4000 (like a GoPro) is down to about £64.00 on Ebay I think at the mo, and is full HD and it should fit your chest mount as well.

thanks grommit, i have modified the gopro chestmount, so going to try that one on monday, should give like your vids do a better spread as further back, i know its not hd but just wanted to try first, the helmet idea was it would be easier to use daily, going away soon and gonna order a top of the helmet clamp to see if that does the better spread from china, as then it should arrive when i get back from hols  yes i looked at the SJ4000 and the sony.. just liked the idea of tiny cam for the top of helmet :D
