HI lads,my neighbour owns a piaggio Yourban LT a three wheeler
engine size is 278 cc the same as my GTS ,my road tax is £37 his, tax £70 he,s just asked if i know reason why ,

all i can think its classed as as car ,because its a full car licence to ride it, so over to my learned friends on here

Motorcycle (with or without sidecar) (TC17) up to 400cc is £38 per year but there is a separate classification for Tricycles as below

Tricycles (not over 450kg unladen) (TC50)
Tricycle not over 150cc say the new yamaha tricity 125cc is £17
All other tricycles above 150cc are £80 per year or £44 for 6 months

so when he renews its gonna be £80 :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I think they charge extra when you need stabilisers. :D

My Car tax is £30. 1st year was free.
Honda sh125 scoot £17
Suzuki Address fl125 £17. I Don't mind that.£64 to tax all 3 of them. :lol:
Old honda sh125.
New Honda sh125.
Ride free,ride safe.

Does your car have ABS or have you disabled it?

The tax office are teaching him a lesson, buy a proper scoot and then you will be alright
