I have been on the lookout for a used ABS S-Wing 125.
The ones I have seen used are up for around £2.6k with around 8k miles(12 model) but not in excellent condition or with FSH or close enough for me to go see.
So have started to look at new. My local dealer has offered me one for an OTR price of £3.4k.
My choice is to keep waiting for a used one, or go for new. Or to widen my search to include any other models.
Could do with some advice please.

If you can afford new, get one and have the dealer throw in the matching topbox.
There's only a few hundred quid in it, ask yourself is it worth the time and hassle travelling around looking at used ones?
If you're financing you'll get a better interest rate on a new one.

£3.4k new??? Wasn't the RRP £4.4K a while ago??? Didn't someone say that the S-wing is sadly being withdrawn, so this may be an offer to get rid of the last ones. I'd bite their hands off!!!!Beard wrote:I have been on the lookout for a used ABS S-Wing 125.

Already includes top box. I think Honda are giving dealers £200 cash back so think that helped on price. It is a very good price though.
I had heard that they were being withdrawn as well, not sure why. I guess they don't sell too well? This dealer said he sells more SH125.
Just wasn't sure whether to go new as people says you lose too much compared to used but I agree the gap is quite small as I wouldn't pay 4k for one.
I am just waiting on availability as there doesn't seem to be many around.
Then just have to decide between black or white!! Defiantly white! ..or black.
Cheers

Re: S-Wing 125 New or Used.
They have withdrawn the offer saying that no more will be available to them.
No more are being produced with a new model coming out next year.
So rather than scout around for one and be gutted if the new model is better next year(and reduce the sell on price for this model)
I am now looking for something that will do me for a year that wont lose too much value. They suggested a SH125 but that could be because they were selling an overpriced one!
So if anyone has any more ideas on something that will do as a run around for a year that will hold its value as much as possible.
I have been looking at the older model pcxs or maybe the sh125? Just needs to be something that is readily available and not too hard to find.
Cheers.
Edit* Needs to have decent storage for shopping.

it would help if we knew your location
as there are plenty of bargains like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-HONDA-S- ... 1040543298" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I would avoid the pre-esp PCX because of the weak stand mounts.
For price retention Vespa is a good bet.
