Expat back in UK wants a scoot again!

I lived In Spain for 7 years & had a Piaggio X8 250 for 6 of them. Been back in UK for 2 years & miss the scoot badly :(
Although I'm now a pensioner I'm looking for a 200 / 250 / 300 that's not so physically big in size as the X8 but has decent underseat storage & has good allround performance.
I would prefer a bike with less than 790cm seat height 'cos I've had both hips replaced & also can't "get me leg over" a high centre "spine"!!
Anyone got any good suggestions?

Welcome to the forum icon_thumbs_up.gif

You could try the Honda SH300 I have heard some good things about it :)

I have this model. Check out my thread about it. I would highly recommend it.

Thanx for your suggestion but I don't think the Daelim "ticks the boxes" - haven't got a dealer anywhere near me, it doesn't appear to have anything like the storage I would have expected from a "midi" maxi 250 scoot (the x8 was excellent in this respect, but the bike is rather too big for me to be able to use now) & as I mentioned in my post, I really do need a scoot with a flat floorboard. I tried out a Honda SH125 a while back & it just didn't "fit" me - the seat / handlebar positioning together with the high (relatively) seat made it a no -no.
I've been looking on-line at the Sym Joyride 200 evo; it looks like it might fit the bill - anyone have any views / tried / owns one?
Ta muchly!!

Flat floor and low seat, sounds like a Vespa.....
The Sym Citycom 300i may suit, although it does have a bit of a central tunnel its not very high.
The Sym HD2 has a flat floor and big wheels, so storage is reduced.
Both these Sym models are discontinued but you might be able to find some of the HD2 still in stock at a knock-down price.

Are you saying the SH125 was too big to fit you, or seat height too high perhaps. I'm fairly average size all round (no sniggering at the back) and although I find it cramped for leg room as it's not feet forward capable, it is a reasonable size.

I'm a little concerned that anything to fit you, with decent storage will end up the same size as the X8, if you want/have to downsize you may have to compromise on storage but clearly you need to find something that fits yoo, which means at least sitting on anything you're considering.
