Blinging my new Max

Post by Funkycowie »

Some of you may remember this thread where I vinyl wrapped my previous TMax.

I am planning what I want to do with the next, as before I am staying away from buying existing decals. This is how the new one looks as standard, but when looking at what I want to do its original state has actually grown on me. (Top box is going)

The first thought was Black and Red this time round... whether that be Gloss Carbon and Matt Red/Gloss Red, or Matt/Gloss Black and the reverse in Red. But it looks a little Sith like... so a bit of a turn off. (used old TMax as back drop)

But tonight I thought maybe I could try Matt Anthracite as a base with Gloss Yellow... then got a little carried away with the wheels...

Or I could just wrap her color panels in clear and match the other panels in Anthracite and Gloss Black just to keep them all smart as they are in as new condition...

I am aiming to get a R&G spindle wrap, front fork protectors and side protectors... maybe the bar ends as well... also I want an Ermax hugger... priority will be protecting the original paint work.

the original paint looks good, if you think of the black fairing front panels and the matching seat/nose grayer panels being ace then its just ... what other colour would you like the yellow panels to be if they were all a different colour, would you think of taking the yellow panels off the scoot and have them spray painted to an unusual color scheme :?: food for thought :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Sorry but I don't like any of those ideas, yellow looks lovely as is, but if ya want to add colour, add some red, I think candy red wheels powdercoated, maybe the rear passenger grab rails, maybe a couple of red or red n black sponser decals or something on the front chin spoiler and that's it, maybe something red added to the seat also, trust me I have an eye for what looks nice on a bike, there is a fine line between garish and wow factor!

No spray painting, its messy and costly. However the wheels would be plastidipped if I wanted to protect or change the color.

To wrap the entire scoot this time round will only cost me about £60 and several hours with a bit of swearing :D

Dezzie; Nor do I really but I am just playing with ideas right now... but red in those places would be garish against the yellow

why not live with it for a few weeks funkie, see how you get on with the yellow, then wrap a couple of panels to see what the result would be, and go from there.
I like the yellow and anthracite. :)

The yellow looks cracking as it is, just clear-wrap it to protect it.
