Peeps might be surprised at the reasonable costs involved in the ferry etc. I will put them up asap so that anyone thinking about it can know the facts. We use Hotels but the costs are always reasonable. Simple meals and a couple of beers or so. Its not that expensive.

As promised the cost details for the Ferry crossing - £170 return with the bike. This includes all meals on board and a berth in a inside cabin both ways. Leaving on the evening of the 1st Oct back on the 7th.

The meals on board are pretty good and basically are as much as you can eat. The price would be less per person if anyone wants to join us.

Hotels are reasonable so I'm not expecting too much extra cost apart from fuel. We will be cracking on but nothing stupid. We won't have the Boy Wonder with us on this ride out so be a little steadier than our German escapade.

That's cheaper than the Harwich ferry. That was £360 for 1 person and car plus cabin and no food. In July though.

I have to say I think the Hull ferries offer great value. For anyone from t'north it makes no sense to drive never mind ride south. Foods good as well.

I agree; a couple of years ago I travelled Zeebrugge-Hull and back.

The boat part of the trip was like a mini-cruise and the food.....! :D
