Dovestones

I often take this route over the pennines on the A635 to Holmfirth and then B6106 toward Stocksbridge and over Jawbone into Sheffield.

It takes you past Dovestones resevoir and over Saddleworth Moor. Not really suitable for HGVs or suggested by sat navs so it tends to have little traffic on it and some great views - a bit hairy in winter though.

Had a great run earlier this week with excellent weather, sunny but not too hot. They are putting a new roundabout in on the A616 (Stocksbridge to M1/Chapeltown) so avoid that if you are on 4 wheels, very long queue but not a problem on a bike

Saddleworth moor in the second - I tried to get the sunset and heather colours but only had my phone, no proper camera

I`m hoping to get out over the weekend and that area and the peak district are my normal areas of choice :)
This is the only pic I have of the scoot so far, taken with my phone, I always forget the camera
