Was using a SJ1000 camera which I have been very pleased with for the last few months. The only niggle I had with it was the mounting of the camera, and when in the waterproof case you could just see the corners of the case surrounding the lens. So I have purchased the later SJ4000 model which is basically a copy of the Go-Pro camera and can also use the Go-Pro mounts which is heaps better. The quality of the video seems to be about the same, but the new type mounts really make life a lot easier. This is some footage from a short run out to one of our regular stops for tea and crumpet....

footage looks awesome, camera looks even better with in built preview lcd! All for a fraction of a gopro (which doesn't come with an lcd screen by default). If i didn't already have a gopro i'd definitely have gone for this. Nice one mate.

Bought a Redleaf RD990 from Red5.co.uk a few weeks back. Think it's pretty much the same chipset / design as the SJ4000. Currently experimenting with different settings / mounts etc.
A video I took earlier today on the way to work. It's been sped up by about 400% and has Soul II Soul's younger sisters providing the backing music.
what kind of mount is that? it on your chest or chin?

Hi Alphacrust, it does seem very similar to the SJ4000, even more GoPro looking. Does it have a rear screen and use the GoPro style mounts at all...Where did you have it mounted ??...

The camera was mounted on the front fairing via a GoPro suction mount (bought from Argos - £30). Was dubious how well it would stay in place but it's rock solid. Could do with tweaking the angle a little to get the image more straight.
The camera doesn't have an LCD but has the ability to connect via WIFI to your phone, allowing you to setup the shot etc. The mounts are all compatible with the GoPro mounts / accessories. I bought a cheap £6 chest mount from eBay which I might take on holiday whilst walking around the Greek monuments and the like.
