I had a f800 great bike for me but a have a lot of friends who purchased them in various guises and had loads of issues on the earlier ones ,which tainted what is a nice bike . Imho BMW is not what it used to be ,case in point another friend has just had his r90 delivered and certainly does not appear to have the build quality of the show bike upon which he based his order .

I had a R1150R for 4 years, except for a new battery (my fault) it just cost me routine servicing and tyres. It looked virtually in showroom condition when the bloke who bought it rode off to South Wales.

Yes I love the old air-cooled BMWs. The G650GS is a nice bike too.
