Any one on maxi-scooter fancy meeting me feel free.

It all depends on the time and date you are coming down.

route planner is giving travel time of over 5 hours each way
thats nearly 11 hours in the saddle
plus a few hours in london
no wonder you had trouble thats rather a lot for one days riding
id consider it for a weekend but never in a day

it all depends on the route, in the car from w.yorks i used to come down the M1 now if i was on a scoot i would come down the A1 its a lot more enjoyable and more to see

be safe and take your time... are you meeting someone in london to stay with etc

He will have to keep M-ways as he doesn't haven't a full licence.
Bloody mad, especially considering what happened last time.
Weather is good so camp and come to pie and mash ride. The others will escort you to London from there.

Dude maxi scooters were not designed for trips like that on nasty fast motorways. If I go from london to leeds I do it by train or in a mercedes e class and even in the mercedes it is a chore. Would not fancy it on a scooter. More of an endurance trip than something you will enjoy!

Just realised you are talking about doing this on a 125. That is insane. I have a 400cc and an 840cc and I would not attempt that journey!

Dude what are you on about? Maxi scooters can handle nasty fast motorways no problem.
North Wales to Essex on nasty fast motorways was fine
195 miles / 3 hours 50 minutes each way to do Leeds to London to Leeds... sounds do able on motorway but boring with barely any time being able to be spent in London. But not being able to use the motorway, what do you plan to do in London? What ever it is its just going to make you more tired (unless you plan to take a kip some where).
It just sounds suicidal on a 125 with L's

I know when I did 7 hours to Snowdonia it was getting very hard towards the end on a 250. The same when we went to North Yorkshire Dales this year.
Next Scoot will be a 300 at least, but ideally a 400/500.
Remember you have to keep off the A1 at points when its the A1(M) at Peterborough and Stevenage.
