Hello all. I have been browsing the group for a short while but now I have possession of my new Burgman 400 I thought I ought to join. I have just returned to biking at the grand middle age of 57 having ridden for a short while as a teenager. Our plan is to own a motorhome so that prompted getting back to biking and I have loved every minute of it since (re)starting. I have only just completed a DAS course so experience is limited just now and of course training was on a bike so I also need to learn the difference riding the Burgman. I have enjoyed browsing the posts and have found the level of help, advice and friendliness to be excellent. I know where to turn to if I have a question or issue. I'll post again when I have a few miles under my belt.

Yes, it will have to be a trailer. I haven't yet found one that could take that weight on the rear axle/towbar even though the overall GVW would allow it. Looking at one of the transverse trailers that allow reversing without the steering problems.

Ive got an 20 year old Transit camper van brought it has had beefy rear suspension so can carry Vespa on a rack (plus it was cheap ).Got escorted off Mway by Swiss Police who weighed it good job had V5 with proof of weights ect .I was actually 500 KG under gross weight so they wished me a nice holiday sent me on my way .I had also put heavier duty tyres on rear which had another 400 kg rating between them .



Its a bugger to reverse a coach built mhome with a trailer on I've done that as well used to take a burgman on a trailer years ago
