She`s Alive....She`s Alive.......

Well after a lot of searching for bits and bobs my s-wing lives for a bit longer(hopefully a lot longer).

Has had new crank and bearings complete unit bought as was easier, rather than try to work out wat bearings i needed and where to source from......

New piston and cylinder kit complete as piston had decided to scrape side of barrel......

New Gasket set and seal set.......

Downgraded spark plug to standard 1...and put in new original Honda rollers......

Cause of damage unsure, but piston looked like it had gotten heated some how and loads of burnt deposits on it......

Thanx to all for all the advise given ....here`s to another 30000 miles b4 it breaks again.......

From Honda parts list would have cost over £1000....I bought from Ebay still using new parts and cost me £325 ish.........and i did the job myself which i have to say is the biggest project ive eva done.....

I have a feeling it has been neglected by a previous owner.....

Excellent, and satisfying to do it yourself too I bet.

I had nothing but good experiences with my S-Wing, hopefully that is how it is going to be for you from now on.

Excellent, sounds like a big job, it must have been very satisfying when it fired up.

Had you been using a non-standard plug from a snake-oil salesman...?
