That's quite underwhelming imo and looks dated for a new scoot.

I still reckon the Satelis is the best overall commuter scooter.

But with no ABS or integrated ABUS, there's no reason to buy this bike.

Sad.

Got to say, the female narrator's voice is very pleasant...

The basic premise is therefore that this model has been left behind the times through absence of investment.

While styling is never top of my list (if it works good being a far higher priority, never mind what it looks like) that, and the features list, does indicate a generation-behind-the-times problem - and even if it were offered for sale in the UK they'd have to add ABS for new sales after the end of next year.

And when you find dealers with excuses to NOT sell a product you've asked for, it sure does indicate where the issues lie in the network.

Shame really, as it's another to cross off my list.

Besides an extremely slight cosmetic makeover, what is there of any significance?
Is the 400 engine entirely new with 100mpg capability and 10,000 mile service intervals...?

It's probably the same Piaggio master engine lump that's in the Xevo/X8/X9, not a bad thing as it's a solid engine and 6k mile service intervals is not bad (presuming they're the same).

It's just dull. I'd rather have a second hand Xevo, could be had for peanuts, nicer styling and many more dealers (until Piaggio go tits up anyway).

Hello - I will post the Tech spec and detail up here tomorrow and when we expect them to be released.

I can confirm the Satelis 400i is powered by Peugeot's own LFE engine, first introduced on the Metropolis last August. The motor produces 27.4Kw and 38.1NM torque.

The motor performs very well in the Metropolis, so I would think the Satelis will be a pretty quick scooter.

Fuel economy, service interval?
(which are what really matters)

Great, keen to learn more. Thanks.

Something to remember is that all motorcycles and scooters above125cc (I think) will have to have ABS from 2016. So it will be uprated before that date.
