Forza 125 UK Announcement

Forza 125 formally announced on the Honda UK website, will be coming next year.

Price will probably be similar to the presumably outgoing S-Wing and the current Yamaha Xmax.
Which is a hell of a price for a 125.

The PCX has it and it is just as pointless on that as it will be on this.
Why on earth would you have some extra complexity on a scooter which is only of use when you're not moving? The whole point is a scooter is that you keep on moving when the cagers are jammed up. Bizarre. Maybe in Japan or Thailand the roads mean it is useful to have but I really don't see the point of it in the UK.

The way that idle stop is configured on Honda scooters means that the starter is less complex.
The conventional starter motor is removed and replaced by the alternator which places the crank in the best position for starting then spins the motor when you open the throttle.
There are no moving parts in the starter to wear out.
In four years on the PCX forums I have yet to hear of any failure of the starter motor on a PCX.
The only problem with it on early models was battery drain but this has been addressed in the new version which monitors the battery and disables idle stop when the battery gets low.
Idle stop is good to use because on the occasions when you do have to stop it is more pleasant to sit on a stopped engine.
Restart time is three tenths of a second and feels instantaneous.
Idle stop is the one thing I miss from the PCX.
