Hi fellow muppets,
You've already answered my problem. A recently bought SH 300 that wouldn't turn over when the start button pressed. Kick stand up/ yes but rear brake only pulled moderately hard....no joy, really squeeze the brake, engine start; so the lesson is there must be two microswitches, one for the brake light, and another for the starter circuit. Hooray
Passed test in 75, bought a 750 Norton which is still in my shed, along with a 500cc AJS from 49. Otherwise MotoGuzzi, Lemans sold sadly and a Blackbird which is great. Until recently I rode my Fathers 125 two stoke Gilera, performance great, fuel consumption, pitiful, hence the SH 300. 75miles on 3.6 litres. 90 to the gallon in old money
Anyone found a workshop manual for the sh300? McD
