How do?

Longtime biker who has just moved into city-centre-based self employment, so no employer to pay the parking expenses and no bike suitable for day-in day-out city commuting 30 miles round trip.

Likely to make a buy in next week or so, currently thinking ex-demo or nearly new Kwak j300 or Honda Forza.

Some interesting threads on here. Off for a browse.

Hmm, commute around 15 miles each way mostly motorway (M602 and M602 then central Manchester) plus some more regional work around North West and North Mida so I am working on the basis of at least 30 cc to cope.

More generally, coming at this from bikes, and not having bought a new bike in about 8 years, I have little real knowledge of the new Far East manufacturers, Sym, Kymco etc. What is the prevailing view? Reliable? Quality? I am aware the John is a Kymco in drag...

Hi Soapy and welcome. Are you in Manchester? Both the Kymco Downtown and Sym are great scoots in the 300cc bracket or Possibly the 400 Suzuki Burgman there is a good one for sale from Gerard C on the forum.

Live just south of Manchester (Cheshire dahhhhhling...) but commute into city centre most days - work just off Deansgate. You local?
