Ok I have been wanting to do this tour for a few years now, there have been various and numerous reasons for it not coming to fruition in the past, but this year I am going to pull out all the stops to make it reality. No date set yet but I have got the itinerary mapped out. Some days will be short hops and I will use these days to either tour locally or detour from the route or just relax and walk around at the days destination, but also I will be affected by ferry timetables, and I like a social and a lie in, I am after all on holiday :D , so no early ferries or early starts.
If anyone has done similar and or has any tips, suggestions or opinions to pass on, please feel free.
I should mention that i`m not a novice 2 wheel tourer having done several European trips in the past.

Sounds good Glyn. You've come up with somewhere I'd never heard of - Inverkip. Sounds like a great place for a lie-in! Hope you make it and enjoy yourself.
