Afternoon one and all. Just found this board after having a look round the tinter web. Nice to see other bikers who won't keep telling me to buy a 'proper' bike.

A proper bike has two (or maybe three) wheels and an engine. Oh, and a muppet on top!

Others seem to think it's got to be capable of 200Mph but for me, a proper bike is anything I own

Welcome
Don't think I could ever go back to a proper bike. Too much of a backward step

I have to admit, I've started to take offence to people when they say to get a proper bike. Mine does what it needs to, is economical and has a large luggage space for my work.
I arrived home one Saturday to find my neighbour and a mate of his not long back from a ride and his mate said to me "why don't you get a proper bike?" I said to him "Unlike you, I'm not a leisure rider. I use my bike for work. Do you ride to work on yours?" He didn't say much after that.
