Hi
Here are the details of the National Meet.
Date 6th June 2015
Meeting Point is the Silver Ball Cafe which is about 10 miles from Duxford.
London Rd Reed, Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 8BD
Phone 01763 848 200
I would expect to start to gather from 10.30 onwards.
The plan is to have a meeting to put faces to names and generally just spend a while with fellow enthusiasts whatever they ride and whatever forum they use. Hopefully this will encourage more local meets over the coming year.
At around 12.30 I intend to set off for Duxford, Anyone who wants to visit the Aircraft museum or simply come along for the ride is welcome. (Depending on numbers it might be a good idea to use the drop off system).
I visited the museum earlier this year and I can get discounted entry if we pre book a party of 10 or more. There's four in my party going anyway so if you contact me and make a commitment, and we get the 10, I will look into getting some pre booked entry's. (As I will be paying for this myself I do expect you to honour your word if you say you want an entry ticket).
I understand that part of the static display is closed but from memory there's so much to see it won't make that much difference.
I'm having some screen stickers printed so I will be handing them out at the meeting before we go to Duxford. (See separate post on stickers).
I'm setting off from Wakefield on the Friday evening and stopping en route overnight - not because of the distance but because it's a chance to stay in a nice hotel and have dinner. On the Saturday night I intend to stay over again and have a wondering route home.
Looking forward to seeing everybody, lets hope for good weather!
Gerard C
