Hi, prospective Maxi owner here

Hi everyone,
I have been the happy owner of a Vespa GTS 300 Super for the last five years. That was until some thieves stole it right from the private parking beneath my flat, leaving just a half link of cut locking chain behind!
The police who came round said they'd had a lot of Vespa 300s knicked lately. Apparently because they look so similar to the smaller CBT legal Vespas, young theives like to take them and re-badge them thinking they can ride around on more powerful scooters without anyone noticing.
Whether that is true or not, I've been thinking my next ride might be something a little less appealing to the youth crowd. I'm thinking a Burgman 400, although the Piagio mp3 500s have caught my eye too. I liked the nippy-ness of the Vespa in town, but motorways were a little dicey, especially with a pillion, so I'm quite looking forwards to something that handles longer journeys, as long as it still doesn't feel like too much of a beast to take down to the local shops. Any opinions welcome!
