I don't want it friendly and practical. I like it just the way it is  Road testing KTM Duke next. Thats even more unfriendly and unpractical.

What a grump! We can all relate to that brief exciting & sometimes rare opportunity of riding a new bike for the first time. While you may not be able to judge a bikes ability to do the Dakar rally in the few miles you get, it does however open the imagination to a new steed. Motorbikes play with our emotions, test rides tease them.

Actually I had the bike for several hours with no mileage limitations. Contrary to what grumpdad might think, I had fantastic time with it and managed to do a decent road trip. About 120 miles.

Btw just sharing the experience thats all. There was no need for condescending babble.

When you compare it to the original R90S that new thing looks like it was thrown together by a blind design apprentice.
The Chinese can build better looking bikes FFS.

I dunno, he's entitled to give out some flak when receiving it.

I think it's a nice looking bike but not practical enough for me - but then it's not aimed at the commuter market so that's fine.

I would worry about BMW's build quality though, Italian quality components at Yamaha prices - not a good combo.
