Hi Folks

My name is curley and I have been riding scooters and motorbikes for nearly 40 years. I have just purchased a 2008 Honda SH125 to use over the winter months. Its got a few marks on the panels but moted for 12 months and only 12000on the clock. JUst needs a bit of tidying up.

Only problem I have and I am hoping someone here can help me is the centre stand. There is no rubber stop so the stand is hitting the transmission cover, I have looked at a parts diagram of the exhaust what shows a rubber stop but I cant find out where it goes.

Does anyone own a SH125 who maybe able to take a photo of the rubber stop etc.

Regards

Curley

Looking at the parts diagram there appears to be a welded on bump stop on the right side leg of the centrestand.
Have a look and see if it touches the exhaust when its up and if there's a hole for the stopper to fit in the stand.

It's rusted away, not very Honda like, I got a replacement exhaust for my 2011 model. other options are Welding something back, fitting a rubber door stop to the other side by some means, but there is no frame easy to fix anything to. I ended up using foam lagging pipe, but it did not totally solve it. the stand retracts to far and the whole thing rattles around at about 40+mph..
A very annoying fault.

Terry, If use a use a bungee cord, the stand is making a noise because it is resting on the transmission case, it will make it press tighter against it and it will end up eating it's way through it. I think.
