Hi, I have been riding scooter for a number of years making my way through: MBK Skyliner 125; Piaggio X9 250; Aprilia Atlantic 500; Piaggio X9 500 Street and now a Sym Maxsym 600i ABS.
I traded in my X9 500 for the Maxsym as after 8 years the X9 was becoming too unreliable for my needs. Whilst I was a little reluctant swapping from Piaggio to Sym, who I knew produce a significant share of the far east scooters but weren't a company I thought for maxis, having now ridden the Maxsym for 3 weeks and a few hundred miles I can say I'm very happy with the new bike.

Hello from me, too.
I'm in Salisbury.
There are a few GOGs & Others rideouts in this neck of the woods, if you're into that sort of thing.

Welcome sensible intelligent person with obvious good taste. You are of course automatically a member of the SYM mafai on here. Its a great site and they are a good bunch but you will have to put up with a lot of jealously from non SYM riders and those pesky Burgman riders can be trouble when they are not too busy beating themselves up over the fact they spent more on lesser machines. Don't worry the mafia is here to look after you we keep a ready supply of horses heads. The mighty SYM is a great machine I have had mine since it first arrived here and before that the 400 version. Both machines turned out to be very reliable. The 400 needed its seat lock replacing and the 600 as an oil level switch that gets stuck. However once SYM arranged to have it replaced it started working again! But I will get the new one put in. Enjoy your outstanding ride.
