Hi, I have just joined the forum. 8 weeks ago I took delivery of a new to me Yamaha X Max 250, (2010 model) this is my first 2 wheels since I was 17. I turned 60 last April. Why did I leave it so long!!!! I'm loving it.
I had a full licence from my youth but went on a days CBT course (despite not needing the certificate), just to help my confidence and give me some basic instruction. It was definitely the right thing to do.
I live in Cambridgeshire and am now looking forward to a few good sunny days before winter sets in.
I know I still have a lot to learn, some of that learning I'm sure will come from this site.
My other hobbies are guitar which I play badly and caravanning.

welcome - congrats on the Xmax250 - a good choice... a few fellow owners on here, some have traded up to the 400...
wise words on doing a CBT as a re-fresher...
and let us all hope your caravan towing is better than your guitar playing

Thanks for the welcome, sorry about my being slow to reply to your welcome messages but I have been away in Cornwall with the caravan. I don't do technology very well so don't take a laptop away with me. My reluctance to get involved with technology is also a reason for me not having pictures of the X Max on here.
I was considering a 400 but I thought that going from a 125 on the CBT course straight to 400 might be to big a jump, hence the 250. I might consider 400 in the future but I have to say the 250 is giving me everything I need at present.
