i was born in huddersfield and spent my youth in Almondbury, we used to go down the back fields then down to the frog pond and over to the park where the museum is, there`s a good motor museum inside, and cant count how many times i have fallen asleep on a bench under the clock tower having a rest from walking home at silly oclock from town clubs, when i was out in the town in my youth    lovely part of the world for a ride from almondbury over to castle hill then down to brockholes and thru to holmfirth then out over to snake pass :D

It was a beauty, totally unrestored 8-) Most of the really nice bikes there were original, and many showed evidence of actually being ridden! One was a Brough Superior that had modern indicators and big LED lights on the front. Two nearby expurtz got all offended at that, but it pleased me because this suggested that the owner proudly rode it rather than treating it as an expensive ornament. Maybe the trend for restoring stuff to an otherworldly, 'better-than-new' finish has passed; I can only hope.
