Spark plug spanner for Burgman 400 (2015)

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable spark plug spanner for my Burgman 400?
I naively thought it would be included in the kit of spanners .... but no ....
I can see it's a long reach job in an awkward place, but I don't want to chance breaking anything if their is a proper spanner for the job..
I'm looking to change the standard plug for a Brisk now it's past it's initial run in period.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Edit: Just measured the Brisk plug, (AR14YS) and it appears to be 16mm across the flats? (Tested with Snap-On ring spanner in good knick).

I thought there was a plug spanner in the burgman kit (could be wrong) but think cost cutting/profit margins has changed all that. Same as first service no longer free (only one I've ever bother with normally)

The new VStrom thousand is a "parts bin bike" the rear wheel spindle from the "hayabusa" so no 36mm socket in the tools to adjust the chain so I had to go out and buy one especially (couldn't find a binned 'busa on eBay at the time to buy the tool kit from)

Ask your supplying dealer, they may have one kicking about and asking is free.

I would get a Halfords professional 3/8'' socket set, they have extension bars and universal joint. I'm sure that's how I got mine out.

Yep, there's no spark plug spanner in the Burgman 400 kit now. I use a 3/8 driver socket with extension bar and this fits my torque wrench too. Phil, are you sure that's the correct Brisk plug. I don't recognise that number you posted.

i had this saved to the pc when i did the equivalents as below
NGK IRIDIUM AGAINST BRISK SILVER 3 PRONG ELECTRODES
ngk cr9eix is BRISK AOR10LGS

ngk cr8eix is BRISK AOR12LGS

Hi Guys. Exactly how much better the bike can be with those sparks? I do appreciate the better the spark the merrier but do you really notice it in a brand new Burgman? It seems a simple trick I'd fancy doing on mine

Going back to topic .... I have found (and bought) a 16mm long reach socket from Machine Mart for £2.99. It's 1/2 inch drive, and if it goes down the hole on my extension bar ..... I am sorted!
Further to the Brisk plug .... I just thought I would give one a go as they have good reports of better MPG. A 400 drinks more fuel than my old 250, so hopefully I'll get my money back eventually.

Edit: Socket worked a treat with the addition of a lump of blue tack in the 1/2" drive end to hold the spark plug as it wouldn't come out of the deep head hole without it! (No rubber grommet in the socket).
