I hit the grand old age of 70 in Jan 2016 and thought it about time that I graduated from a Chinese 250 Maxi to something with a bit more power for 2 up touring.
Thus I treated myself to a 2012 Silver Wing with only 4,200 miles, genuine.
It's due to be delivered this Friday, 4th December.
Is there anything I should be aware of with this machine.

welcome to the muppets, the silverwing is a fine machine, you've chosen well. The only real mod is a bigger screen as the honda stock screen isn't the best. Let us know how your liking it.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

To start it you will need the side stand up & pull the left lever until you hear 2 clicks (first is brake light, second is the starter inhibitor)
If it has not already been removed take the bulb out of the underseat storage, it's the main reason for flat battery due to the switch not being overly well designed & sometimes does not switch off
Have wheels, will travel

Welcome, the Silver Wing seems to be well spoken of by everyone who's owned one.

Great advice, the brake lever had me fooled for a while! Also Meldrew advises an alternative screen, I fitted a Givi Airflow to mine and it was fantastic. The Silverwing it a bit heavy to shove around but when you're riding it the weight just seems to disappear. It will tool along at 90 mph all day long if you want it to. Built like a brick shithouse so you shouldn't have any worries. Comfy for hours on end too.The Bern wrote:Hello & Welcome

I'm a shortie, only 5ft 5in and the standard Honda screen is fine, even at fast motorway speeds.
First impressions are "Heavy and Bloody Fast, Wow!"
