Hi all, a stupid question but how does the rear suspension work on a Burgman400 k1? If the engine and drive train are all one unit am I right in thinking there is one pivot point on the engine also acting as an engine mount and the rear suspension unit is attached between the frame / engine. (I think I have seen a moving link on the suspension.) I cant work out where things are behind the plastic bodywork and an understanding of whats going on would be helpful. Thanks Steve

It's a single shock attached to engine in middle you won't see it unless panels are off .Some had remote preload knob I think it was transmission belt side just under body work .If it's had new shock probably won't have that now

thanks pikey. Yes it does have the preload knob on the transmission side. So the rear wheel can move up and down (along with transmission and engine unit) on a pivot bolt and the shock is connected to the engine one end frame on the other. That sort of makes sense. I have seen the shock - running along bottom of frame under a plastic cover.
