Hi just joined and interested to know how many GTR300 owners there are.
I bought it back in October and have now done about 1800miles on it.
Pics of when I picked it up and one more recent with some LED spots added.

Re: Anyone else got a WK GTR300?
There are four other Muppet owners, three of us bought after one brave soul bought one in Dec 2015 and posted details on here.
Welcome aboard, keen to know if you've had any little issues during your ownership?

Hi Alun- I am one of the Muppets who recently bought a WK GTR 300
It would be interesting to see your comments on any issues you might have had
Most of us on here have not done many miles yet.
The weather has not helped, not much chance to go for decent run outs. But you have done a few miles. Any problems to date.

Re: Anyone else got a WK GTR300?
A few issues so far:
poor electrical connections (wouldn't start one day), Vacuum pipe came off carb (wouldn't tick over), Sidestand switch stopped working (I can drive around with the sidestand down, which is nice:), Rear brake switch has failed (light on all the time) but got a new one from china ready to fit, Hinge on front flap broken, and the front pads don't sit on the disk properly see pic (I have a new set ready to fit). I did the transmission oil and the engine oil myself at 100 miles and then took it to the dealer for the 250 and 1000 changes to get my book stamped. I have also put a set of pads on the back.
I recently fitted a set of led spots and a big horn (which I think is too big so will have to come off)
Lack of info on the bike is worrying, handbook/service manual etc. and I seem to get a different story from WK everytime I contact them as to whether these items actually exist. I have a scan of the handbook now which is rubbish. I did contact Lintex but was told a manual didn't exist but that was before I actually got it, must contact again with VIN no.
So far I am really pleased with it, getting about 65mpg on daily commuting (slow filtering then thrashing it off the lights) It seems to go well and surprises a few people off the lights expecting a 125.
My missus has been on the back and loves it.

Re: Anyone else got a WK GTR300?
Spots were from ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111499419912? ... EBIDX%3AIT
also used a switch from ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361289023288? ... EBIDX%3AIT Took a feed off the fuse box (live on ignition) and ran it to lights via switch. I made little brackets to fit to the cable/hose stays on the forks and bolted light units to these. I read on the type approval doc from dvla that lights need to be over 30cm from ground (Ithink) so they are legal ish. They are nice and bright and make a big difference on unlight roads but most of all they get you seen. The last bit of my commute is along a dual carriageway that has had motorway traffic dumped on it via a filter so it is usually clogged solid and no one is looking for 2 wheels. The leds make all the difference traffic seems to part like magic.
I just read your post on the replacement led bulbs and just ordered some.

Hi Alrogers.I think I'm the latest buyer of the GTR300 on this board.Bought in mid January. Now just over 200 miles on the clock.I've changed the engine and hub oil at 120 miles and am having a bit of a problem with cooling,if I ride at 45 -50 mph the 90C warning flashes so changed the coolant and added Water Wetter to it.Other than that I'm very pleased with it.

Forgot to say I had a problem with a mirror bracket,it was very poorly welded to the handle bars and broke off .I rewelded it and it's been fine since.

Re: Anyone else got a WK GTR300?
Sheggy mine seemed to flash up with the 95deg warning quite a bit early days, usually immediately after stopping. I was very careful running in and now it seems to pop along. The warnings eventually stopped at about 400 miles, I occasionally still get a warning after long periods at high revs.
