Hi guys,
I just picked up my Burgman abd was told it was a K8 by the sales guy and although I am very happy with it, I was reading something either on here in the Burgman USA that said both sides come on when the headlights lights are on with a K8 as only one side is fully lit. Is there another way to know for sure which model it is?

Yes, it should be stated under Model on your v5. My K8 B400 only had one side lit. Don't forget that the USA models may differ from European specs.
