10:30 AM (this is the leaving time so please be there earlier)

Start point;-
Tesco
Edgington way, sidcup, London, DA14 5BN, London

Starting at Sidcup and riding all the way to sunny Whitstable via small lanes and avoiding A roads and dual carriageways as much as possible. I haven't planned any petrol stops on the way down 'cos it's only about 65 miles and we are starting at a petrol station so please fill your tanks before departure.

We can stop at a Sainsburys at Faversham to buy lunch if needed and we will eat it when we arrive at Whitstable. Alternatively you can buy fish and chips or pretty well any sea food at Whitstable harbour.

Definitely no motorways and fast roads but never the less some of these roads can be challenging with gravel and grass in the middle!

Home bound will be on slightly faster roads but still no rushing about and nothing over 60mph. Via Canterbury, Tenterton, Maidstone and Brands Hatch.
This ride will be suitable for any bike but will be led by a 125 scooter or a Royal Enfield so knee sliders will not be needed :-)

There is a direct and fast return for anybody that fancies it. Via the Thanet Way and the M2. Will be on your own though.

We will be using the "cornerman system" so please make sure you are familiar with this method of route marking.
Will be a mixture of bike types not just scoots 8-)
There will be other riders with us on this ride as i am a member of a couple of other groups. They are the Honda C90 group and the LMRC so you can expect some of those members to be with us.

Cracked heels?
no meldrew, thanks for saying, i have muscle nerve damage which is generally to the left and right of my spine, constant niggling pain drains you and so makes you irratable all the time, the doc put me on different tablets to try, to be honest in general the pain from my back has eased, unless i am lent over the car etc or doing certain tasks and i feel more relaxed. but
my right arm aches and my heels (i always soak them once a week) feel like they are burning, get out of bed in morn and struggle to put weight on them then they ease to just the burning and more so if i walk, see doc on friday so see what he says... Ta

good for you, in fact i do, it was probably the weather in late december that gave me a tinge , new ride new tyres and shit all over, but i coped at the average speed of 50 mph Ha Ha it will be a good ride this time of year and steve has worked hard with all the rides that he does on a regular basis, be a lot of fun meeting new folk as well :)

still think steve was a farmer with a passion for bikes :)
