It's the 1st ABS unit to be released here in the Philippines. Announcement and presentation by Kymco Philippines was Aug 19. My dealer was able to secure me one the following Tuesday.
There are 3 maxis available locally: SYM Maxsym, Yamaha TMax and Kymco Xciting. The SYM doesn't offer the ABS version. The TMax is almost double the Xciting in price. So Kymco we went.
My wife used it around the city for the 1st 200kms and found it to be ok. More comfortable than her KTM Duke 390 but a lot heavier and bigger.
I managed to squeeze in a ride up the local hills last weekend. I like it. Was surprised it handled well. Very stable in fast corners, scrubbing off the chicken strips during the ride up. In the tighter turns, it can be a bit of a handful. Maybe I just need to get used to the size. Not much power but what's there is in a usable range. Ground clearance is decent for a scooter. Seat is very comfortable.
It's huge. Makes my wife's Duke 390 look almost Grom-like and my Dorsoduro 1200 look small too. I think it's an excellent addition to the garage.

So now there are 3 scooters: Kymco Xciting 400i, Yamaha Nmax 155 and Piaggio Vespa LX150ie.

Took the xciting to the dealer for maintenance service.
This thing called out to me. So I took her home.
Parked it in a different parking slot til I come up with an excuse for the wife...
