Sunday 9th October Hawes

An ride before the Winter sets in. I lovely ride up to Hawes via the Rocket centre at Blackburn. We've done this ride at least once a year and it's a belter. The scenery is magic and the roads are even better.
Suggest we meet somewhere like Pops (0930) or if anyone is coming over from the East Birch services. (10am)
Then head up through Bury and Ramsbottom to the Rocket centre (11am). Have a brew and try not to buy anything. Then up through the trough of Bowland past the Ribblehead viaduct and White scar caves up to Hawes. (12ish) There is a nice cafe and or Chippy at Hawes and a Pub if you like for a feed.
Then maybe over to Devils bridge to look at the bikes etc. Then we can either jump on the M6 for home or go the scenic route back through Clitheroe etc before heading home.
