Coast to Coast, Sunrise to Sunset Ride.
A couple of us in the Honda Owners Club are intending to ride from Margate Kent to Lands End, Cornwall. We will be leaving at about 4.50am and without using motorways travel west to Lands End. I have a couple of stops in mind for Breakfast and Lunch to make the best route interesting. Everyone is welcome. The return trip will be via the A39 Cornwall and Devon coast road.
Regards
Dave

Update
The date for this ride is Wednesday 12th July, a few post codes for waypoints, the start is CT9 1HG, Turners Contemporary Gallery, Margate, sunrise is 04.50 am, first breakfast stop is TN21 0ER Wessons cafe, Horam opens at 07.00 , Lunch is Sammy Millers museum BH25 5SZ New Milton, Hampshire. We will have to locate somewhere for any late afternoon stop(s) as needed. This year could be an initial reccy for a better planned event next year, if it works out well, maybe Honda UK, or the Owners club can get interested in it.
Please let me know if you want to meet and ride a bit of the route.

That's a heck of a ride for one day, Dave! 400 miles with no motorways. Good luck - take your air hawk or you'll have a BSA!

Barker, we are stopping at Sammy Millers cafe for hopefully an early lunch then use the A35 to Honiton, trying to keep away from motorways, and re-finding all the old roads my dad used when being transported on our annual holidays from London to the west country as a kid.
Getting around Southampton and Exeter could be interesting, my Sat/Nav will be set excluding motorways so we should pass through Romsey, Ringwood, Wimborne Exeter and A30. Very much going to let the Sat'Navs do the work hopefully.

Hi Dave, Once you reach your destination will you be staying over a few nights either camping or b&b near Lands End?

Your very welcome to join us, the Turner bldg in Margate is very easy to find, it's at the East end of the bay.
