TUCANO stuff looks good, but never had a apron on a bike,
I have had Oxford grips and warn through two sets at I must say big miles,
and Yam grips look better so I would go for them though I have never tried them.

I have the Yamaha heated grips, they are programable depending size of bike (<250, 250-600, >600). I've changed mine to the >600 setting and they are as warm as any other that I've had.

You can connect them directly to the battery where they will detect that the engine is not running and automatically switch off after a couple of minutes but they sell a lead that connects to the aux plug (near the battery) so that they can only be switched on when the bike is on which is much better IMO.

Thanks rarch,

The seller himself has the Yamaha grips and he said they were no good, I've asked him if he programmed them to 600.

Many thanks

Thank Ralph,

I think I'm going for the regular Tucano. I haven't read good reviews about the Yamaha original apron. The Tucano pro I think it's too "pro" for what I'm looking for. I'll have it installed the whole year here in UK and only in winter when I go back to Madrid.

Still happy to receive opinions...

What a stupid bike to buy! It’s difficult to feel sorry for such gullible folk that buy such a bike., there are far better bikes of other makes readily available all over the country.

Hi Jimo

Are you referring to the XMAX?

I have a 2006 XMAX 250, rode it for 40.000 miles and very very happy with her. I think the result is unbeatable. Convenient for my needs, huge storage, not too expensive, etc. I'm ready for a new one and I considered buying the same one. I like the Forza too but more expensive and less storage room (that for me is very important).

Am I missing something here? This post seems very out of character.
