for anyone in the Fylde area Carltonautos on Poulton business park do both bikes and cars they did
it wile I waited no problems and £20 cars are £35 I think.
We re now at near 16000 miles low this year due to covid.

Hi, I have an X-Max 300 MY21 and would like to fit a back rest.

Has anyone had any experience with any backrests including the Yamaha version or the Givi 2149? The GIVI looks to be about half the price but it looks like you have to drill some holes to fit it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone having problems with warped front discs on the X-max 300 mine had 2 fitted under warranty and
the last one at 12000 miles was starting to show signs of doing the same, fitted EBC pads and after a few
hundred miles it smoothed out and is still fine at near 17000 miles.

Not that I'm aware of Ralph. I'm not a Yamaha tech but my ex colleague was until recently & he hasn't heard of that as an issue. Assuming you are not braking long & hard & then remaining stationary with the front brake held on, you shouldn't be getting issues. Obviously if you are keeping the front brake on after a long hard brake it will transfer considerable heat which can start the disc distortion process which in turn will often get worse as time goes by.

No not heavy on the brakes, never had the problem with other bikes but the EBC pads seem to have cured it.
