we, my wife included, are picking up a new bergman 650 in a couple of weeks. trading in a nc750x. after more comfort and relaxed riding. we plan to do a lot of miles and are heading for nordkapp in the summer. we are really looking forward to picking up the scoot and having a different way of riding.

Welcome Phil, i have had 6 in total Big burgers...Nordcap ha! on the burger! Take a spare rear tyre with you all my burgers ate rear tyres.
The roads up top of Norway are VERY abrasive and will eat your rear tyre first if you carry a lot of weight, don't mean that in a nasty way.
You would be better on a bigger rear wheel, take the NC then trade it in after the trip.
I did N/C on a 1200gs with a new rear tyre ( well new tyres ) before the off, new rear needed before we left Norway 4 of us. just a thought.
