It`s that time of year again. Scooter insurance renewal!! So I go onto the comparison sites, choose a provider (after having to tell them everything about me and the scoot except what we have for breakfast- cereals with yogurt by the way), then find that they want me to provide a copy of both sides of my drivers licence and a copy of my drivers licence summary from the DVLA! I`m sure it never used to be this complicated??

Very odd....can't they get this info electronically in this day & age???

Just found this. Looks like they want you to confirm valid licence, convictions etc. I've never to do it - is something new coming in?

Well yes....the 'My Licence bit of that link is would appear to be designed for insurance companies to get the info they need electronically, with no need for paper copies.
