XMax 250/300
I have been looking at scooters around this cc rating as a second bike. I have been looking at the SYM and one dealer let me ride a Burgman 200. The Burgman was too small for me. I have seen a good looking xmax 250 that is one year old and can have a demo ride if I want. Why do Yamaha produce a 250 and a 300? What is the difference between the two? Any info would be helpful as I never cosideredYamaha before, price is not a main consideration.

Re: XMax 250/300
The 300 is new from 2017 and replaced the 250. It's a very different kettle of fish with much more power, ABS, traction, keyless and LED lights (the main beam is poor, probably the only bad thing about the scoot).
The 300 seems to be very popular on here.

Re: XMax 250/300
The most recent Xmax 300 has a new hi-tech engine, doesn't it??? There were 300s before (actually something like 270cc) which were an enlarged version of the functional if agricultural 250 engine. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that whilst the latest 300 is pretty well new, all the others were incremental developments from the Majesty 250 to Xmax 250 to Xmax300.
