Why? The article cites better braking, but aren't modern bike braking systems already more than capable of stopping the fastest machines? It's only got a 300cc motor anyway! Low seat height is also mentioned, but I'm not sure how having three wheels helps with that. Greater stability? Get something with bigger wheels.

Nowhere is there any mention of the extra mechanical and electronic complexity, and the expensive servicing and repairs that will entail. Also you now have, for no good reason, three tyres to replace instead of two. I can see the arguments in favour of the MP3 et al, having ridden one, but this is pointless IMHO.

Yeah, have to agree. The article mentioned that scoots in the Far East often see ridiculous loads, but not sure how an extra wheel at the far front would help with that.
