Burgman 400 K9 for spares - value?

Guys
I have not posted for a while but last time I did , it was for help with a 59 Plate burgman that one day just wouldnt start.
I checked the codes etc and worked out it was the Fuel pump or relay.
As I do with most things , I left it in the garage and did nothing with it for two years.
Recently a mechanic from our local club offered to look at it and took panels off and spent an hour and half on it .
Said there just wasnt a spark and under the panels it's pretty rotten so either pay lots to get it fixed or sell to a breaker.
The breaker is offering £200.
If it was working , I would have expected more then a grand for a 59 plate with 25k miles.
My question is , what is it worth as spares or repair?
I am aware the mechanic may be trying it on but as a club member , I would prefer to keep things nice.
My options are to take the bike back off him ( not way to get it here so pay a man and van )
Let him keep it and dispose for me, including the brand new battery I got delivered to his house
Or sell it on , but it would have to be collected and be soon .
I was hoping to use the money from it to buy a SYM Joyride 200 scooter that I really liked . oh well.
