Tomorrow morning i’m going on a 250 mile round trip with my wife. We’re going to tend to her sisters grave. We’ll stop once for fuel, contactless payment. We’ll take a packed lunch. We’ll be nowhere near another person, it’s a graveyard so social distance will be observed as she’s 6’ under.
The Prime Minister, Comedic Dummings, has sanctioned this opening up of the lockdown and I thank him for that. I was getting bored sitting indoors abiding the by the scientific evidence trying to persuade me to stay isolated when all along it was stupid
advice. While We’re in the village where the grave is we intend to ride a further 50 miles to ensure our eyesight is fine. I wouldn’t want to jeopardise anyone else’s safety. Goodnight.
250 mile round trip tomorrow. Government says it’s ok.

Well, you should know that its not what you do that's important but who you are. Are you a member of the Royal Family? Or a Senior Govt member? Or merely very rich? Then your trip is fine. On the other hand, if you are poor and working class, then what you are doing is disgraceful and you should be heavily fined and publicly shamed.

Write a blog about the trip, then if anyone complains, you can edit it later to say that you didn't actually go.

6' is only 1.82 meters... so add a bit more to keep safe...
I went on a 100mile round trip to Rye the other evening with my eldest on the back of the NC750X, just to check our eyesight
Might need to check my eyesight is OK on the scooter later...

I just want to know what you-know-who intended to do if he found his eyesight was substandard! That's assuming that there is the slightest truth to his story, which I doubt.

Mr Cummins could of really dropped himself in the shite completely instead of just on the edge, with that stupid story about driving 30 miles from his Dads farm to Castle whatever it was to check his eyes, how come an alert representative from the DVLA didn’t say,â€trouble with your eyes sir,I think we’ll just revoke your license until our Doctors have checked you outâ€

Is the press running the country these days, nagging away on the same old topic, while much more important things are going on, sack Knenssberg and Preston for not doing their jobs.

I think its rather more than a press created storm......almost everyone has obeyed the rules, everyone has suffered to a greater or lesser extent, but MrC has thrown his s**t in all our faces.

Been there, tended grave & returned. Perfect scooter weather
I did look up the regulations before leaving and, believe it or not, it’s perfectly ok to drive/ride any distance you want. There is no limit. And part of the regulations state that tending the grave of a relative is permitted. So, without jeopardising any one else and sticking strictly within the regulations we’ve had a great ride out. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m just going to get my guide dog out of the kennels because he’s been in there all day. Goodnight
