Yamaha have today, posted the price of their new Tricity 300. I'm rather interested in it, but can wait until it hits the showrooms. I've loved my Nmax 125 these last 3 years but I hanker for more storage and more power and a retirement treat. Touring on the Nmax has been very comfortable and fun but the lack of power was tiring on the longer stretches and storage required packing/unpacking a tailpack. Lovely little scoot but time for something bigger..........

Ah, £7,547. So that's an extra £2000 for an extra set of forks and wheel..................

Yes....but its only a 300. There again, you can be charged around £5k for a top spec 125 these days. Makes the Tmax base model at £10k or whatever it is or the Kymco AK550 at £9k seem like bargains! I can remember the good old days when £6k for a brand new Tmax was thought to be outrageous!!!

I quite fancy one if my knackered hip stops me getting on and off my trike but I’m going to have a good look in the showroom, it should have enough power to drag my elderly body around !

Looks neat, I'd love to throw one of those around and see how much confidence that front-end gives when ridden hard. I'm holding out for a three-wheeled T-Max with some sort of hybrid powertrain, though I shudder to think how much that would cost...

It does sound expensive but then with that Bluecore 300, I am sure it'll be a cracker.

Well, if I was still doing all year commuting, it would probably be the ideal - but rather expensive - scoot, with a sufficient power, good economy, extra grip & safety of 3 wheels, loads of space and useful weatherproofing accessories. But for me, a bit expensive to keep as a winter scooter.
