Oh....good news that might be bad news. If its been in a RTC then its going to be damaged from that, let alone any damage they did stealing it. Given its age, I guess it'll be a write-off anyway. The mad cost of Yamaha body panels will mean a repair will be uneconomic.

I hope it is written off . I don’t want it back now as it’s no longer as it was

What a pity. All too often, they do, don't they? And if anyone wants to hate on me for wishing a bike thief dead, crack on; fact is, if more of the bastards died in the process of carrying out their 'business' they'd find something less risky to do for a living.

As others have said, it will be a write off; don't worry about that. Sorry you've had this whole grim experience.

Bastards... cut off their air!
as for the scoot in a RTA...
Simply dont accept it back. I wouldnt want it back...
Hope they got hurt, and didnt inconveniance others in the collision.
Its a shit, but as your wife says its stuff, move on and dont let it get in ya head.
otherwise they got more than just ya scoot and stuff...

Presumably, the garage repair would be under your house insurance? Which means that you will have 2 excesses to pay, plus have records of claims on both your policies. More bad news!

I know it’s all pretty grim . I will find out what has happened to the bike on Thursday . The premium was high anyway for the T Max , with a big excess , so it’s loose loose ! Makes you feel like getting rid of all the nice things in life

Police rang . The bike had 2 scum on it , they had used it in a robbery then were hit by a car . It flipped 6 times so was destroyed. Unfortunately they were not . £1000 Xs means I am getting very little from the claim . I wish I could have 5 minutes with the thief
