I have bought a Suzuki BURGMAN 125 2013 and it has a factory installed exhaust which I want to replace with one that produces some noise can any one help. As every thing I have found it either too big in diameter or to short in length. Nothing expensive though.

Stick with the standard exhaust, don't add to the increase in road noise, think of others that live close to roads.

dont do it learn from my mistake standard exhausts are better as it allows engine to perform much better than aftermarket exhaust especially on a 125

All you need is an orchestral friend:

Leave it as it is; loud exhausts for 125s invariably just knacker up the carburation - while they might produce the extra noise you desire, you will definitely pay for this with ruined performance, flat spots, poor fuel economy etc.

Amazingly, I agree with Jaz.

As an ex Burgman 125 owner myself I know what a cracking engine they've got.

Suzuki put a lot of development into getting te best performance possible from the Baby Burger and that includes the exhaust.

Just my opinion, naturally, but there are far better things to spend your money on.

A cheaper, more efficient way of making yourself heard when you need to be is, of course, the Stebel Nautilus.

I posted this on Silverwing600 recently when replacing the standard horn with louder ones was discussed.
As I say at the end, it is my opinion, pure and simple:

I did the deed on my X9500 some years ago; the horn was a Stebel Nautilus and fitted easily in the fairing.

However, over a considerable period of time thinking about doing the same on my first Silverwing, I came to the conclusion that it was not a good idea for this reason:

I drive a car, ride a maxiscooter and a bicycle and walk along the King's Highway. I try to keep eyes and ears open while I'm doing so, not least to avoid colliding with other road-users.

My ears are attuned to the sound of other vehicles as well as the sight of them.

I could ramble for ages about this but the point is that if I hear the sound of the HGV horn I expect to see an HGV, not a maxiscooter, so might inadvertently overlook the scooter.

I have no doubt people will say I should see everything but research has shown that human eye/brain co-ordination is never perfect.

It's my personal point-of-view.'

I've had them on quite a few of my bikes. On some it was seldom used, but I had one on my 110cc engined Honda 50 which was used extensively in the cut'n'thrust of city commuting. Which in Leeds got pretty cutty and thrusty indeed at times, I can tell you! There were a number of times during that three year period when I needed to make my presence known in short order, and the Stebel never failed in that respect. It's an interesting point you make about the different horn sounds, but all I can tell you is what my experience has been.

Another good tip is that I have found that the quality and longevity of the Stebel units has fallen drastically over the last 10 years or so, to the point where I'd advise buying one of the cheap Chinese copies, as these are no worse but cost about half as much.

I think my observation is probably geared more to 'the open road' rather than close-quarters riding in town.

I agree that one's own experience is just that - one's own experience.

Slightly tongue-in-cheek: the Stebel is almost impossible to fit in/on a Silverwing.
