Riding our Scooters Again?

Just browsing the net to try and see when when we can ride scooters / motorcycles again for the enjoyment of it - and not just going to work/ hospitals essential journeys etc. I am interested when we can go out for a day or a few hours purely for the enjoyment of a trip out.
I don't read The Telegraph, but I was very interested to see the following I found on the internet under Covid Lockdown Roadmap: Key Dates revealed for easing restrictions in England. ( published 5.3.21)
"From Monday March 29th, one of the things it says is The "stay at home guidance" will be dropped. There will also be a significant loosening of how far people can travel to see someone outside.
While people will still be encouraged to minimise travel, there will not be punishments for someone who drives a few hours for a meet up outside, then returns the same day."
I have seen very little/ nothing so far, until seeing this, about when we will be able to go out on our bikes / cars for pleasure again.
Of course it could all change if they decide otherwise/move the goal posts again. Hoping we will be able to go out on or bikes again in just over 3 weeks!
sorry can't enter the full link - just google : - Telegraph easing lockdown key dates it should bring up the whole article

Unfortunately the plan is to stay local rather than stay at home, but I believe there won't be legal back up to that. Don't count on any of the dates either, as they're just guesses at this stage.
One more thing - if you're thinking of going abroad later this year get your passport sorted now rather than wait.

I rarely ride 'purely for pleasure', but its always been legal to ride to travel to take exercise, which I've been doing all the way through the pandemic. Now you are/were/will be supposed to travel 'locally' but there's absolutely no firm guidance for what locally might be. I've normally travelled to places up to around 10 miles, though I've done food shopping trips to a neighbouring market town which is a bit longer away. What will happen in the future, who knows. Its no use asking Boris....

It's all about common sense.

I've decided to mount up and use the Silverwing for shopping again.
The trip to my supermarket of choice is seven miles each way, mostly along the coast road, and takes roughly 15 minutes.
Should I be stopped by the Police I will argue that this supermarket is very big, allowing conveniently for social-distancing and that if I go at my usual time - around 9.15 in the morning during the week - is very un-busy and frequented by reasonable people who wear masks out of habit now, unlike the Asda in the town.
The only thing is I must remember to use the car, once a week probably, in order to keep it going.
The trip isn't much but it's a start.

What's the issue - you are going food shopping, which is entirely permitted. There is no law saying which shops you may or may not use. Idiot Gove tried to invent one of course.....
There are enough stupid rules around as it is - no need to invent extra ones!

No issue, probably, but I want to have my answers ready if I'm challenged.
I could do essential shopping closer to home.
Edit:
In fact, you are wrong: I found this on a local News website, dated 15th February, 2021:
'When you can leave your home and when you can leave your local area in lockdown:
While the lockdown is in place, you must not leave your home unless it is for an essential reason. Essential reasons include work, if you can not from home; exercise once a day; shopping for essentials like food; care responsibilities and attending funerals.
When you do leave your home, for an essential reason, you must stay in the village, town or part of a city where you live, unless it is necessary to go further (like for work or a childcare responsibility).'

Frankly, I couldn't give a f*** about stupid rules any more....... And anyway, is that an actual law, or 'guidance' or some BS cooked up by some local hack??

It's important to ride carefully when we go out as some road users will be very rusty.
