I don't like the linked brakes, (Rear to front) idea very much, especially for gravel trails or in the wet.

Thoughts?

My '99 Burgman had them and they worked very well indeed.

My Guzzi LeMans had them in the early 80s.

Bet you wish you still had the LM , linking front and rear is ok but rear to front on an `offroad` bike is not so good.

Linked brakes do work very well and do actually increase safety. That is proven and that is why they have become a requirement on machines without abs. However, if you are not used to that type of braking it takes more than a ride or two to get used to them. But once you have even going off road with them is fine. I know as I've done it. Not really any difference between those and individual wheel braking when you become proficient with them. The front brake on the Sinnis I'm told only applies around 20% braking when you hit the rear brake. It's hardly noticeable in normal riding, but under hard braking it's pretty good.

Yeah, no one has a bad word to say about them if you watch the countless videos and online road tests. Little more power would be nice on that earlier model though, but it's not a deal breaker. My nephews bike, which I have ridden and serviced, has 24k miles on the clock and he's had it from new. It goes very well in everyday general riding. He does 12 miles a day on dual carriageways at an easy 55-60mph each way and it's fine in those circumstances. He does not have to max it out everywhere he goes to keep up with traffic but a stiff headwind will slow it a bit especially if you have the big optional top case. He does!

I think the newer more powerful motor will help a great deal with headwinds and especially useful will be the 6spd gearbox. You won't lose so much speed on hills and going into headwinds etc. Looking forward to seeing a proper road test on the new bike.

I just love the idea of the 125 Terrain, I just can't think of a good reason to get one.

Lots of fun and a really useful tool to have in the garage alongside my GTS300. I'm gonna take a look at the new one as soon as I can. Hoping Capitano will see it asap and report back.

One of my 4 bikes will have to go if I buy one to make space in the garage. my biking buddy is buying a new Honda CT125 import and although I can do gental off roading on the Innova the Terrain would be better.
