I will soon be taking delivery of a Piaggio BV350 which is in mint condition and I want to keep it that way.
I intend most of the time to keep it on the drive behind our camper van. I have a garage but it means moving the van all the time which for reasons I wont go into is a complete PIA. The birds however crap in the area where my current scooter is on the drive and where the BV will go it will certainly get crapped on. I also think in the winter it might be better covered in the garage to avoid dust etc.
A friend has recommended this one. https://tinyurl.com/2j529vcj
Seems very cheap though. I read a thread on here where there were concerns about Moisture. I also wonder about the cover scratching or wearing against the paint work. The other issue is where we live is subject to some strong winds off the Pennines and a cheap cover I put on my little scoot just blew away.
Any thoughts?

Re: Scooter Covers?
Both my bikes live outside, personally i am a fan of Oxford covers, they seem to last well, the stormex version i use has a window slot to place my solar charger to keep the battery topped up,if you are going to chain it up as well, there are slots to put the chain through,so should stop the wind blowing it away, the covered piaggio parked behind your camper should have a fair amount of protection from the wind any way,i have used a JDC cover as well which worked well, also i had a bike barn when i had the Hog,which was a bit expensive but massive,i could get under the cover as well as my big tourer Hog,if you go for an Oxford one, make sure you dont get the thin rain cover, usually black and silver in colour, they are useless for outside,if you have a top box make sure you opt for cover with top box when you do your searches.......

Re: Scooter Covers?
I've got an Oxford cover as well - they do one that has the right shape for a topbox, so that helps as you don't have to the box off each time. Its worth checking sizes carefully, get anything to big and it'll flap terribly in the wind, even if you do secure it with a strap underneath. They don't last forever though....

Yes, my last one started ripping and the waterproofness had declined. Still on £25 approx for 3 years isn't the greatest financial disaster!

Re: Scooter Covers?
Another Oxford user.
I've had my present Stormex for about 3 years. The seam tape is flapping about in the wind but it's stlll waterproof and this later one hasn't faded like the earlier ones I've had.
They have heat resistant sides/lowers and a fluffy interior lining, but when I used it on my CBF lots of wind movement did cause marks on the screen, so these days if it's windy I tie it up with a couple of luggage straps to stop the movement.

Re: Scooter Covers?
Thanks everyone.
Oxford seem to be the recommendation then perhaps. Even with the motorhome on the drive the wind still whistles through like hell in the winter here. Nothing behind our house but 20 miles of hills and a westerly wind. The motorhome might be going though so I can keep it in the garage. I am going to insure it as being parked on the drive though as that is where it will be most of the time unless the van goes.
This is the bike I have bought. No top box but a back rest. I wonder if Ill be better riding out to a dealer and seeing what they have that fits.

I imagine that if you remove the backrest, you could fit a standard Givi mounting plate to that rack very easily, then any Givi box would fit, assuming you can tell your Monolocks from your Monokeys!

I dont really want a top box. I quite like the back rest. Might be useful to be able to swap it for a box if we go touring on it i suppose but only if its a quick swap and easily put back again which I guess it wont be.MrGrumpy wrote: Thu Apr 22, 2021 7:56 pm I imagine that if you remove the backrest, you could fit a standard Givi mounting plate to that rack very easily, then any Givi box would fit, assuming you can tell your Monolocks from your Monokeys!

Re: Scooter Covers?
Having read a few more reviews and with the recommendations on here it seems the Oxford Stormex is the cover to get. I am just not sure what size to go for.
The Beverley 350st according to google is
Seat height: 787 mm (31.0 inches)
Overall height: 1320 mm (52.0 inches)
Overall length: 2115 mm (83.3 inches)
These are the Oxford dimensions I found on this site. Oddly the Extra large seems to be the cheapest on there. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorc ... ELEALw_wcB

So which size to go for. The XL seems to be the only one that will cover the height but its going to be a bit long I think and might flap about a bit in the wind. in the winter it wont matter so much as Ill probably keep it in the garage and just chuck the cover over it as a dust cover but outside for most of the year I dont really want it flapping about. I think they have eyelets at the rear and front so I guess I can bungy it through the rear and front wheels?
Anyone have one on a BV350 and what size did you go for?
